Co-Development Process

Our development process is designed to evaluate technical feasibility, ingredient compatibility and manufacturing suitability before moving towards commercial production.

Each project follows a structured approach to minimize development risks and ensure a smooth transition from concept to market.

Step 1

Introductory Discussion

An initial meeting is organized to understand the project objectives and define the product requirements.

Discussion Topics

  • Product concept
  • Target market
  • Active ingredients
  • Dosage targets
  • Product positioning
  • Packaging requirements
  • Commercial objectives

Step 2

Theoretical Evaluation

Our team performs a technical assessment of the proposed formulation.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Ingredient compatibility
  • Dosage feasibility
  • Manufacturing suitability
  • Stability considerations
  • Sensory impact
  • Regulatory considerations
  • Raw material availability

Potential technical challenges are identified at an early stage before entering development.

Step 3

Formulation Proposal

Based on the evaluation, a preliminary formulation strategy is developed.

Activities

  • Ingredient selection
  • Dosage verification
  • Flavour recommendations
  • Colour recommendations

Where required, alternative solutions are proposed to improve stability, taste or production feasibility.

Step 4

Project Validation

Before entering production, all project requirements are reviewed and aligned.

Validation Topics

  • Formulation proposal
  • Ingredient sourcing
  • Packaging concept
  • Regulatory considerations
  • Project objectives
  • Production planning

Step 5

Sample Production

Following approval, a development batch is produced under real manufacturing conditions.

Objectives

  • Evaluate taste and sensory profile
  • Verify ingredient integration
  • Assess product appearance
  • Confirm manufacturing feasibility
  • Collect customer feedback
  • Validate the formulation under production conditions

At the end of the development process, a complete product specification can be provided together with the relevant technical and quality documentation required for further commercialization.

Optional laboratory analyses can be incorporated into the project scope when additional validation of ingredients, active content or product stability is required.

Development Fee

Prior to starting the development process, a fixed development fee is agreed based on the complexity and requirements of the project.

The development fee covers the technical evaluation, formulation support, project management and sample production activities required to assess the feasibility of the concept before commercial manufacturing. The fee will be invoiced when it is agreed to move into production of a sample, not before.

Deliverables

Upon completion of the project, customers receive:

  • Sample products
  • Product specification
  • Ingredient information
  • Quality documentation
  • Regulatory documentation where applicable
  • Manufacturing recommendations

This structured approach allows customers to evaluate their concept efficiently before moving towards full-scale manufacturing.
